Here are only some of the websites I like to use, as well as some other web information.


  • Jughead.yooco.org
    • This is a social network for any Archie comics fan. Plus I created it!
  • Web.archive.org
    • The Wayback Machine is owned by the Internet Archive. You can travel backwards in time for various websites and see what they were like in the past!
  • Mike Herald
    • Mike's webpage serves up a nice handful of different web links to visit, from games to graphics. This is where I found some of the best websites. This site is pretty cool, but you'll have to see it yourself to know it.
  • TheFreeSite.com
    • I swear, this website has so much to offer. Don't believe me? Just click a category, select a link and be wowed.
  • Escargot.chat
    • Escargot is dedicated to reviving MSN/Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and AIM. You can make an account on this website, download any of the services and use it to connect with anyone using that Escargot client. I found this great for my Windows Live presence.
  • Leo's Icon Archive
    • Let's be honest: who wouldn't want their computer home screen to have a bunch of icons of their favorite characters? If  you were searching for it, they have it now, at Leo's Icon Archive. There's tons available from well known cartoons and there's also buttons to spruce up a webpage. My testimony: I went onto this site and found Archie icons. ARCHIE ICONS!!! If you know Archie you would probably have a hard time finding things for the cartoon, so the archive is also great for niche things too.
  • ImpressiveGames.com
    • The web games on Impressive Games are certainly something. There's a handy drop down menu for all the games available, and it is pretty cool (though the web chat function is dead because - no duh! - it is now only archived on the Wayback Machine.) Try the Tanks game, it's fun to play against the AI or with friends on the same keyboard.

To jumpstart your website, I recommend Microsoft FrontPage 2003. It has a neat interface that works well for the purpose of building a working webpage. A CNET download to get this is available here.

I use GeoCities as my web host. It's free to a limit, which means a small amount of storage space online. You also can't upload your own home page; instead you have to paste the code in yourself. Still, it works out fairly well for free.
